In-Home Private Training

For Puppies and Adult Dogs

Private in-home lessons provide a tailored approach to directly resolve your dog's behavioral issues in your home environment. These lessons emphasize your individual needs and lifestyle.

The first lesson includes evaluating your home setup and suggesting structural changes to create clear boundaries for your dog. We'll also initiate training and communication exercises while addressing your most pressing concerns.

Subsequent lessons concentrate on reinforcing your handling skills, enhancing communication with your dog, and tackling any unresolved issues from prior sessions.

Common Behavioral Issues Addressed:

  • Basic Manners: Fundamental commands like sit, stay, come, and heel, as well as polite behaviors like not jumping on people or begging at the table.

  • Recall:  Training your dog to come when called, even in distracting environments reliably.

  • Polite Greetings:  Teaching your dog to greet people calmly and politely without jumping, barking excessively, or being overly excited.

  • Puppy Socialization and Exposure:  Exposing your puppy to various people, animals, and environments to help them develop into well-adjusted adult dogs.

  • Leash Reactivity  Addressing behaviors such as barking, lunging, or growling when a dog is on a leash toward other dogs or people.

  • Grooming and Veterinary Care:  Helping your dog feel more comfortable with grooming and veterinary care through desensitization and counter-conditioning techniques.

  • Resource Guarding:  Addresses behaviors like growling, snapping, or biting to protect resources like food, toys, or resting spots.

  • Fearfulness and Shyness: Helping your dog overcome their fear and anxiety towards new people, animals, or situations.
